President Donald Trump is playing a dangerous game as he continues to provoke the wrath of his MAGA supporters with unfounded claims of voter fraud. To make matters worse, the president has embarked on an even more disturbing path by giving his supporters a false sense of hope that he could be deemed the winner of an election that has already been decided.
However, Trump’s aides have revealed that things are a bit different behind closed doors. When asked about Trump’s “ultimate plan,” his aides have admitted that he does not have a legitimate path to support his claims of voter fraud.
“You’re giving everybody way too much credit right now,” one senior advisor said of the Trump administration, according to the Washington Post.
Since the day after the presidential election, Republicans across the nation have been working tirelessly to compile evidence of voter fraud. So far, they have come up short in their efforts to do so. Despite the lack of evidence and the absence of a legitimate plan for his legal battle, Trump is still fighting.
On Twitter, he is declaring victory, but his aides have admitted that behind closed doors he does understand that President-elect Joe Biden will be taking over the White House in January. In fact, Trump is already training his focus on the possibility of running for president in 2024.
“I’m just going to run in 2024. I’m just going to run again,” Trump has reportedly been saying, according to an unnamed senior White House official who has spoken with the president this week.
Although Trump is supposedly raising funds for his massive legal battle, a new disclaimer added to his campaign indicates that donations will be redirected to other political action committees outside of Trump’s legal battle.
